Oualidia

How to get to Oualidia

Oualidia is a little apart - a little over two hours from Casablanca and about three and a half hours from Marrakech by car. There are many ways to get there. You can take a big taxi or rent a private transfer from Casablanca to Oualidia; Ask the direction of your hotel in Casablanca how to organize that. The price will be high. You can also rent a car in Casablanca or Marrakech and drive.

A much more affordable way is to take buses and / or big taxis. Oualidia is located on the main road linking El Jadida to Safi (just over an hour from each of these cities). You can therefore find buses and large taxis from one or the other of these cities in Oualidia for about 30-50 dirhams (3-5 euros).

Even if the bus does not stop at Oualidia, you can ask the driver to drop out. It is quite easy to go to Safi and El Jadida since the main transport centers: you can take a bus, train or great taxi for El Jadida since Casablanca, or for Safi (ASFI) from Marrakech.

Once in Oualidia, it's easy to move - you can walk or ride a bike anywhere in the small town, with the exception of some restaurants that are a little apart.

 

When to go

Oualidia enjoys a mild coastal climate all year round. The summer months from June to September, are hot and ideal for beach activities, but the rest of the year remains pleasant for hikes and walks on the beach, spa stays and tasting of fantastic fruits sea.
